No matter how much I slow down some mistakes just keep creeping back in! I see people typing well 100wpm and I just can't see how to get there. If anyone knows any great typing programs, ideas, voodoo spells, blood sacrifices which might work to get to this goal I'll write a ballad in your honour which will echo throughout the ages! I've set myself a goal of 100wpm purely for self achievement reasons but it still seems so far away and I'm out of ideas. I've worked with a touch typing tutor online, typed the alphabet over and over, slowed down, worked on only my problem keys according to (B, V, M and N mainly) and I'm out of ideas!įor additional info, I'm middle aged (so grew up without a computer) but I've been playing piano for over 10 years and understand about slow, dedicated, disciplined practice but this approach doesn't seem to be rendering results when it comes to typing! And, despite typing several books, a blog and dedicating minimum 10 minutes a day to actual touch typing, my speed remains stubbornly around the 60wpm mark and sometimes as low as 20-30wpm if I'm thinking about what I'm typing. ![]() Since then I've used and another one (who's name I've completely forgotten which created random user submitted quotes to type). I learned to touch type last year (April 2017) using the Typesy software and plateaued around 40wpm with 95% accuracy.
